
Harry McCarthy, has worked on the road and offered his technical expertise and skills in the studio for major artists such as: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Madonna, Toto, Neil Young, CSNY, Mark Knopfler, Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, Michael McDonald, Carly Simon, Hall & Oates, Bruce Hornsby, Bon Jovi, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
In 1989, he established Drum Paradise L.A., with partner Jeff Chonis. Clients included Ringo Starr, Kenny Aronoff, John "JR" Robinson, Simon Phillips, Harvey Mason, Dave Weckl, Tris Imboden, Luis Conte and many others. Throughout the late 80's and early 1990's Harry toured extensively many high profile acts. In 1994, McCarthy relocated his family, wife, Jodie, and daughter, Sydney, to Nashville, TN, where he established Drum Paradise Nashville, Inc. Throughout his career, McCarthy has assisted legendary drummers, including Steve Gadd, Jeff Porcaro, Don Henley, Rick Marotta, Max Weinberg, Richie Hayward, Bernard Purdie, Vinnie Coliutta, Jim Keltner and Mitch Mitchell.
Born in Harrison, NY, Harry was inspired at an early age by his uncle Eddie Julian, a noted Big Band drummer. He was raised in the same metro New York neighborhood as successful drummers, Rick and Jerry Marotta. As a high school student, McCarthy played drums with several New York City-area bands, Harry now resides in Franklin Tn.
